Insurance is very much a necessity, and not just a nice to have. It’s there for help and guidance on parts of our treatments, and what we can and can’t do with our clients. Having insurance also turns you into a professional, who is taking responsibility for the work you do.
Full Guild membership comes with £6 million cover against treatment risk, public liability and product liability. If you don’t have insurance, and are enrolled on one of the courses provided by ourselves, you will be covered by our student insurance for your case studies.
Once you have received your certificate for achieving all the modules in your course successfully, you will be able to apply for your own insurance cover, which entitles you to work on the general public.
The Guild accepts the following courses for insurance:
- Private training schools such as Sanctuary Training Academy, that are accredited by the Guild. You can check our accreditation on the Guild website. Once you pass a course with us, the Guild will accepted it for insurance purposes.
- Nationally recognised qualifications on the QCF, eg, NVQ, SVQ, VCTC, ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO, City and Guilds, SQA, IHBC.
